I fell running yesterday and injured my wrist and a rib. The rib really hurts. Ouch. We were going to go to Fall Creek Falls for the day but had to cancel our plans. Oh, I was not doing anything tricky, I was just dodging people and downed limbs... I should have lifted my foot a quarter of an inch higher!

A deer entered a house in Cleveland, TN by crashing through a window. The six-point buck did quite a bit of damage until the wife called 911 and the husband got out his gun and shot the deer.

I can't believe this did not make news of the weird.

Save Money the Easy Way by Reducing Waste - (Yahoo News - US News & World Report)

A great way to save money is to reduce waste. Turn off lights. Keep the doors and windows opened or closed to control the temperature. Stop wasting food.

We try hard; but there is always more that we could do. We'll try harder.

"I stand by my previous statements that the Arctic summer sea ice cover is in a death spiral. It's not going to recover," said Mark Serreze, director of the National Snow and Ice Data Center in the U.S. city of Boulder, Colorado.

The temperatures are warming, causing the release of gases, which raises the temperatures higher and causes the release of even more gases - hence the death spiral.

We, Americans, do not eat enough vegetables. There is a link between obesity and eating vegetables. Obesity is on the rise and eating vegetables is on the decline. It is not as if most Americans sit in the deer stands in their living rooms waiting to shoot a deer (see above scree note), they just don't like baby carrots as much as they do french fries.

We went to the Farmer's Market this morning and have vowed to return on a regular basis. We eat veggies, but still probably not enough.
